Once every thirty years a large area in the mountains of North-East India faces famine. This famine is a direct result of the incredible rejuvenating properties of Bamboo. Let me explain.

Once in thirty years, the wild bamboo flowers and then fruits. The fruit falls to the floor of the forest where many animals eat it. The fruit, flowers and general energy pattern of bamboo is so potent that the energy fields of those who come into contact with it become able to hold, conduct, and release huge amounts of energy. This makes some rodents become able to reproduce so vibrantly that instead of having two batches of offspring they have more than six or seven batches in a life-time, and all of them really strapping and healthy. This increases the population of rats to such an extent that those of them living on the borders between forests and rice fields and villages, enter the fields, house, granaries and eat everything they can possible eat, reproducing madly at the same time. This causes widespead famine for the poor humans who simply cannot deal with the onslaught. These famines are lengendary and people living in this area dread the flowering of the bamboos.

In Energy Field science, the Bamboo is classified as one of the natural fields that is a powerful energy conductor. It conducts energy right from its base in the earth and water up into the air above and from the air above right into the earth below.

It conducts energy so efficiently it connects up its own two polar ends and therefore holds and release huge amounts of energy in the same second. This is why it has been used since time immemorial to liven up areas with sluggish energy movement (feng shui). This same property means it can neutralize any extreme energy pattern. This is why it has been used to balance out negative energy patterns.

In the field of energy medicine I am trained in, the energy field of Bamboo is called 'From Here to There'. This is because of its primary ability of being able to get energy passing through from one end of the body to the other. It does this by simply paralleling the body's own energy network.

Have you ever seen a huge old monument being repaired or restored? Symbolically enough, a network of long bamboo sticks are strung together making a parallel network to the wall, or facade which the artisans or workers use to climb up and work on just the area of the wall or building that needs repair - without burdening the building itself with their own weight or the weight of their instruments and materials. That's the effect bamboo has in an energy field it is introduced into in its energy field form.



It doesn't matter where there is an energy surge or drain, Bamboo will create a parallel network that conducts energy properly and smoothly so the ill area can get its share of energy.

This property of Bamboo is a great aid to creativity as it helps people channel energy from inspiration right through to creation or expression. It helps people channel sexual energy from getting turned on till orgasm.

It heals low self esteem because when we are connected up within its hard to look down on ourselves.

It helps babies and children grow and develop by being able to fully use and absorb energy from food and exercise. It helps mothers-to-be manage energy well so the baby growing within gets his or her share of energy without depleting her own reserves.

It helps soldiers stay alert and those from the plains who have altitude sickness to manage energy properly so they can adapt to the rarer air as they move upwards.

Bamboo helps students to learn easily and remember better, simply because of pure energy being available to the brain.

It helps recovery from serious chronic infection, especially for those bodies are depleted of energy after being bombarded by antibiotics and strong medication.

It helps those with ADD become more attentive for longer because they are now more 'connected up'.

It helps heal from local problems like wounds and bites. This is because sometimes blood circulation to a wounded area is cut off - either to stop poison from spreading or as a reaction to heavy bleeding. Bamboo helps energy get there anyway through the energy field so it can heal.

Bamboo corrects any irregularity in the menstrual cycle, or the circadian rhythms of the body. This is because it is exquisitely sensitive to both sunlight and moonlight, and any body it is introduced into will be influenced by its changing its energy patterns in accordance with the time of day or time of month.

Bamboo helps heal Depression, SAD and any problem with the sleep cycle. This is for the same reason mentioned above - its sensitivity to sun and moon cycles.

All this is done without actually interfering with the working of any particular gland or organ of the body. Its all done by simply paralleling the body's own energy network and conducting energy from end to end. How amazing is that!

Above all, I love Bamboo's ability to fix the unknown problem that causes babies' crying for no known reason. This is a most frustrating problem for parents and care givers - especially in the middle of the night. If nothing else works - Bamboo will.

To treat yourself or a loved one to the energy field effects of Bamboo in a light gentle home-made dose, immerse a leaf of dried bamboo leaf in hot water along with a few grains of unpolished (Red or Brown Rice) and have the steam rising up after about 30 seconds condense on a spoon of silver or hardened glass. See the picture to the right for a simple home method. Even just a few drops on the spoon will charge about 100 ml of pure water. This will keep for 3 days refridgerated and 7 days frozen. It has to be taken 2 drops under the tongue directly or in water at room temperature once every 4 hours or whenever required.

(Note: Fresh Bamboo Leaf's energy field is too 'fast' to be captured this way, and even when bamboo's energy field is captured, to prevent it from dissipating, it needs to be held within a wide energy field. Raw unpolished rice is a wide energy field that can accomodate Bamboo's without impinging on its effect too much.)

In its pure energy essence form (such as I make as part of therapeutic energy medicine) Bamboo is a game-changer ingredient, added at the very end of the preparation to suffuse all the other energy fields and connect them all up. Besides all the properties mentioned above, it gives immediate emotional awareness, mental alertness and awakens the memory so people almost have photographic moments remembering incidents that had faded out but need to be remembered for some reason. It helps one connect up immediately so the feeling of being disconnected with oneself or feeling confused goes away. It gives clarity of vision, heightening of the senses and the ability to find creative solutions to problems in the moment.
