How to manage Food Cravings with Plant Hormones and Endorphins
When you are craving for something and don't know what that is - even after a few hours of eating everything sinful within reach hoping its 'the one' - its possible you require some help in getting your body to release endorphins. Endorphins are chemicals in the body that help us feel secure, relaxed, and enjoy ourselves. Prolonged illnesses and energy crises in our bodies confuse our endorphin mechanisms making it difficult for us to release endorphins when we need to.
This natural ability of ours can be brought back to balance by paying attention to our food cravings - even welcoming them as signs that we are beginning to assert our own nature now - rather than eating what the magazines and doctors say we should. Paying attention to our food cravings gives us clues about which part of us needs help balancing.
Notice the time of day you start feeling the food cravings:
Early morning to Noon - Your body is finding it hard to absorb and retain Vital energy. The vital energies and extracts of the roots of plants will help.
11.30am to 3.30pm - Your body is unable to transfer and convert energies. A combination of Bark, Stem and Leaves will help.
3.30pm to 8.30pm - Your body is unable to express or use energy properly. The Flowers will help you get back in the flow.
8.30 pm to 3am - Your body is very low on sexual energy, or vital energy reserves. You need a combination of Root, Fruit and Flower energies.
Fruit Endorphins are great and effective right through the day and night.
Once you find out which time you are most prone to having food cravings, what you need to do is get those natural endorphins and have them in little doses through the day - long before the cravings time arrives. These will get your body into the habit of being happy and enjoying life through the day and as you slowly lessen your intake of them, the body will continue being happy.
How the different parts of plants direct and support our own energy processes
The different parts of plants have different purposes and the energies we get from them are different accordingly.
The ROOTS of a plant have the ability to attract, absorb and hold vital energy. When we use the extracts or hydrosols or energ fields of roots, we are training ourselves to absorb and store vital energy (otherwise called sexual energy).
The STEM, BARK, TWIGS of a plant or tree have the ability to transfer energy seamlessly, stay stable while doing so. When we have them, we train our own bodies to do the same.
The LEAVES of a plant or tree have the ability to convert energy from light, environment and own storage. When we have them, we support our bodies in doing the same.
The FLOWERS of a plant or tree are the tree's reaching out to the world - to God, to others, and most importantly to Love. The Flowers are pure sexual expression and have as their first aim, the attraction of their species, and their second aim, the reproduction of the species, continuing of Life. When we have flower endorphins, we are supporting and rehabilitating our own ability to connect with others, with God, with nature; we are letting the world know we are here and are ready to give and take love; we are ready to participate in life and let it continue through us.
The FRUIT or SEED of a plant or tree are the tree's blissful fulfillment. "I did what I had to do and enjoyed doing it. Now I go on. I'm satisfied, I'm happy," is what Fruits say. When we have fruit endorphins we share in that happiness and that's why fruit endorphins are the easiest way to feel good immediately. Fruits have that WOW or MMMMM factor so if you're simply low on feeling good about life, fruit endorphins are wonderful through the day.
The best bit about fruits and seeds is that in them is the energy field potential of a whole new tree and all the trees ahead. No matter what your condition, they can help. Indeed their life purpose is to interact with us, and help our lives go on too. Any time of day or night they are great to feel good again and come back to nature. They are indeed our most natural food.
How do you know which plant/fruit/flower to choose?
Finding out is going to be fun. No one but you know which ones work for you. You'll have to follow your nose, actually taste, visually 'soak in' and rate which fruits/ flowers/ roots/ leaves work for you. A good start is having those fruits/flowers which you loved in childhood and add in those you feel irresistably attracted to or fascinated by. Then choose those you felt joyful in contact with (even if its a picture on the net) and include them in your day in little doses separately or together.
We can do this by drying them for herbal infusions. We can puree fruits and freeze them into ice cubes (store the cubes in bags in the freezer) to have through the day or the week. We can make herbal extracts, hydrosols (which have the fragrance and essential oils), sunlight or moonlight essences and just about anything we want. We need to have them at hand to smell or taste or even touch through the day - to simply lose ourselves in their feel.
Please Note: We are not the only ones who enjoy plant endorphins. Our pets and other plants themselves enjoy plant endorphins (just as we enjoy other people). We ought not to waste any part of any plant. We need to take what we want, never waste anything (preserve, freeze, dry), and give the rest back to nature - if not to animals who might enjoy them, then into the earth beneath or around plants and trees. All our energy fields are essentially the same and we all benefit from the spread around and the sharing.
