How to Unite the Rhythms of the Body for Holistic Healing
There are three rhythms in the body that need to be in tune with each other if we are to have good health and be 'connected up'. These are our;
Basic Metabolic Rate
This is the rate or speed at which our cells work. It is controlled by our Endocrine Glands in reaction to our environment, age, and genetic make-up.
Heart Beat
This is the speed at which our heart is working - contracting and relaxing.
Nervous or Electric Frequency
This is the speed at which Brain is working, and our nerves are vibrating or conducting electric signals to and from the Brain.
When these three rhythms or tones in our body are in sync with each other we have a healthy body, soul and spirit. Our physical body is 'speaking to' with our mental and emotional being and we are working well - like a tricycle where all the wheels are moving together in the same direction at the same speed. We then fall in step with the rhythm of the Earth - the Earth frequency, keeping us adapting to the times and seasons.
But what if the different wheels of the cycle aren't moving in the same direction or at the same speed. It gets stalled and is dysfunctional. The actual other parts of the cycle can get dislodged and harmed because of the situation. There is friction and tension in some places, with others being simply paused and useless.
In our bodies when we have a situation like this going on for too long, we have hormonal imbalances, heart problems, severe depression, mood swings, insomnia and sleep disorders, problems with fertility and libido, problems with our hair, skin and bones and so on.
We need to understand how our energy body's 'tricycle' works so we can balance our energy levels and heal our bodies and lives.
What drives this energy tricycle? What drives the rhythms of our body?
Just as the pedals on a cycle drive the wheels to move, so in our body, our lungs drive the rhythms of the body. Our breathing rate sets a basis for all our other body rhythms. When our breathing is slow our heart rate slows down, the nervous system frequency as well, and this stabilizes our metabolic rate as well. When our breathing gets fast the others follow suit.
One way to balance all the rhythms of our body is to practice slow breathing - as this calms down all our faculties. Stress makes us breathe faster and over time the rhythms of our body are all messed up trying to keep up with the speed. Slowing it all down and keeping it stable helps us relax and heal. Keeping a slow rate of breathing helps us be prepared for stressful situations by conserving energy for emergencies instead of constant spending.
Which gears set the overall speed limits on this energy tricycle?
There are many gears in the body that can change our speed limits. These are the Endocrine glands - the Pineal Gland which changes gear according to when it is day or night (faster in the day, slower in the night), the Pituitary and Hypothalamus also in the Brain (working with other glands) make us change gear according to sense of urgency, temperature, water levels, our sexual - hormonal set up and so on.
The amazing thing about our bodies is that when our three cycles are moving together, somehow that makes our gears fall into place too. And then this comes around and helps our rhythms move together through the day and the seasons and years.
So how do we unite the rhythms of our body?
I have a simple little exercise to do this. You just feel the three rhythm vibration centers in your body. These are actual vortexes in your body that we all can feel all the time. There's one in the pit of our stomachs - its that point from which we feel hunger, longing and physical drive. The next is in the middle of our chest - almost near the back - our Heart. Its where we feel sore when we are drained from too much excitement or sorrow or pain or emotion of any sort. It is also the point of origin for pain in the chest, shoulders and neck that is caused by tension. The third is in in the middle of our heads, called the 'Reticular Formation' in neuro science. It is at the center point of the little space at the top of our tongues - where air coming in from the nose goes past the back of the tongue on its way down.
Now we breathe slow and deep and feel all the vibrations. We keep doing this till we feel the speed in our head is matching the speed in our chest, and this is matching the speed in our stomach.
This is not hard at all. Try it right now and see for yourself. If you do it for a few minutes every night before you fall asleep and as soon as you wake up, you will set your body rhythms in tune with each other regularly so they begin to fall into it naturally for longer and longer. The benefits are too many to name.
Note: There is one more wheel or rhythm in our energy systems - a fourth wheel if you will. This wheel is the rhythm of the earth in whose atmosphere we are born, live and die. When the three wheels or rhythms in our body are together, they will fall into step with the earth frequency (sometimes called Schumann Frequency) automatically. This makes our bodies work in tune with the seasons, adapt to climatic and weather conditions as well as resist geopathic and planetary stress.
Besides the above exercise, there are various lifestyle attitudes and habits that need to be corrected if we and our loved ones have to stay healthy and develop strong bodies. These are based in addressing the causes of Rhythms clashing in our body.
1) Stress
Stress causes us to start breathing faster, while energy rushes upwards to the head and heart. This causes the upper rhythms to go faster, and stay vibrating fast. When evening sets in, our basic cell metabolic rate goes down automatically, but because we are so stressed, our heart rate and nervous frequency continue to stay high. The clash means we feel disconnected with our bodies, unable to follow our instinct in the moment, and increasingly unable to come back to deep rest, sleep properly and heal from the stress of the previous day.
Learning to manage stress, is simply learning to continue breathing calmly no matter what. It isn't really all that difficult to do if we really want to.
2) Imbalanced Development - Growing Years or Habit
Our energy fields are constantly influencing one another. This is seen even in very obvious ways. For example, if we took our kids to a beautiful picnic spot in front of a thunderous raging wildly beautiful waterfall and then expected them to document the chemical composition of the water first thing; their energy fields are going to go into confusion.
The natural response to a thing of beauty is the calming or exciting of the basic metabolic rate. This causes our heart rate to increase or decrease slightly in step. If the nervous rate however is being forced to stay the same rate as it has to inside a classroom or in a work environment, its rate will clash with the others.
If we insist on having it this way, the body will suppress the heart and metabolic requirements, forcing the brain to continue working at its constant rate. If this continues - in the developing years it causes energy imbalances that show up later as hormonal imbalances, psychological disorders due to surge in brain electricity and so on. In adults it causes serious Brain stress, social anxiety and various heart and sexual or reproductive system disorders.
After all, whether it is a water fall in front of us, or a piece of chocolate cake, or our loved one's eyes, if we cannot respond wholly - holistically - heart, mind and body together - something is going wrong.
The way out from here, is what is called 'Spirit Acknowledgement'. No matter what we are doing, we have to acknowledge our whole selves - our body, mind and heart, all of which come from and make up our living Spirit. We don't always need to say it or think it, we just need to acknowledge our whole selves and the being of our loved ones without zoning in on just their brain, or just their heart, or just their body.
Most of the time, we are confused in relationships and even business, because we judge people or ourselves with only our Brains. There is such a thing as energy field or spirit recognition and it is very easy to understand ourselves and others when we 'feel' with our entire faculties not just our thinking.
When we are in the habit of acknowledging ourselves and others holistically, we 'call forward' all parts of our energy fields and the rhythms of our body reflect this by beating together.
Our body metabolism now corrects itself without any interfering chemicals or drugs, our hormones fall into balance and we vibrate faster in the day light hours, and go into stable rhythm in the evenings and through the night as we sleep deep.
3) Healing Neurological Blind Spots
Neurological Blind Spots - are places in the Brain circuitry where - because of habit or trauma - energy isn't passed through by circumvented or routed in only one direction. For example, in a moment of terrible trauma, Peter lifted up a chair and threw it at the window shattering the glass. This action immediately shut up all the jabbering people in the room and suddenly everyone listened to him.
In the years that followed, Peter responded to very stressful moments, by throwing things. His brain - first because of electric surge caused by trauma, and then because of habit, had fallen into the habit of chanelling electric energy in that particular way, oblivious of any other option in the moment. Peter didn't know it - wondered why he did it - didn't realize he had a neurological blind spot.

People who have had to live through very stressful times, especially as children, fighting for survival, tend to develop Blind Spots. "A burnt child dreads the fire," the old proverb says. This can go further to where the sight or mention of fire causes trauma immediately even if it is a harmless stove fire or a beautiful warming fire in a fireplace.
Our Brain is programmed to make maps of life based on experience, but even on this very subtle level, we need to be able to make choices in this moment, not choices that were right in the past. We cannot heal from the past until we heal our ability to be influenced by it only the way we want it to. We cannot allow past trauma dictate who we make friends with now, or whether we enjoy a food, or a view or a song.
The areas of the Brain that are stressed or 'blinded' cause problems in the physical body as well as in the energy body. Low self esteem, lack of faith in oneself, lack of concentration abilities are some of the psychological indications of Blind Spots. In the body, lack of control over motor abilities, speech, sexuality, and many other activities that require fluid Brain activity are affected.
Healing Blind Spots are a matter of awareness. We need to keep ourselves awake in the moment, so instead of feeling "This is how I am and there's nothing I can do to change it", we realize we have a choice. We have options. Choosing different options keeps our Brain active and the effect spreads to every cell, healing us everywhere.
