Many physical illnesses that are chronic or recurring, are caused by emotional habit. Breaking out of emotional habit breaks out of the cycle of illness. If you have an overwhelming strong emotional habit that has been part of you for years now - and never seems to end no matter what you do, you need to end its hold on you and your life. Breaking this or these habits will open your body up to amazing amounts of healing energy giving you new life and a whole new way of living it. How to break out of Emotional Habit 1) Acceptance Sometimes we dwell on things - in our minds or just somewhere deep in our hearts, only because we cannot believe it happened. Its hard sometimes to really believe that someone we loved so much so blindly and wholly, couldn't love us back even just a little. Its sad. But its true. It happens. Its happened. Its over. We just need to accept the fact. Its hard but its possible and everything in nature, us people included do it all the time. There is such a thing as universal justice. It might be delayed but it is infallible. You ask anyone who has lived a bit with their eyes open and they'll confirm this. We need to accept our own account of the story of our own lives. Our spirit requires this of us. Life is the experience of our spirit - whether that is corroborated by others or not. We need to accept it unconditionally. 2) Awareness Awareness is the only way out of pain. Chamomile tea and soothing essences and energies will help you be stronger, but they won't take the pain away. Drugs and strong medication will make your brain trip out of reality into a zone from which you will have to return sooner or later to live your real life. The quick, natural way out of pain is Awareness. I learned about how awareness relieves pain - at the Burns Unit at the Victoria Hospital in Bangalore. I spent many weekends there with my teacher. In the begining I would want to throw up every time we neared the entrance because of the strong smell of medicine coming from there. I couldn't take seeing children and adults alike crying in pain, some because they couldn't turn over in their sleep. Even worse was the experience of dressing the wounds of those who had just been brought in - some with burns right to the bone. I was always in a rush to give them energy medicine to put them into deep dreamless sleep. My teacher however never turned a hair. He smiled with infuriating calm, sat on bed sides like they were park benches and coolly asked people about how they'd gotten burned. While I was wincing and wanting to cry or die or something, he'd be asking them the details of how their leg caught fire, or the smell of their hair on fire. He'd get down to asking them how their leg was feeling now - listening to all the details as if they were neighborhood gossip of the most important scandalous type. Then he'd get down to telling them how the same thing had happened to the person in the bed down the ward and so on. After my teacher was done, the person invariably was relaxed and went to sleep quite comfortably. The next weekend they would have gone home. Awareness makes people release pain truly and with finality. It is a true healing that you can have for no money, or condition, any time you want. You can heal from terrible wounds past present or future, by simply becoming aware of what you are truly going through in your body, mind and spirit. You can heal your body from terrible chronic or recurring illness, and your soul from constant sadness and fear and worry, by becoming emotionally and physically aware. Most wonderfully, Awareness breaks the power of Habit. You cannot be in a habit that pulls you down when you are aware of your true feelings. It will feel silly to you, you won't give your energy to it anymore. 3) Use Vital Energy for Priorities Every morning when we wake up we have a store of energy our body collected up in deep sleep. If we don't use or start to use this energy in the ways we want to use it by around 4-6pm, it will start moving around our energy field restlessly - wanting to either be let out, or get blocked up somewhere. At this point any activity that will quickly drain us of this un-used energy suddenly feels very attractive - even compelling. We become wildly attracted to people, activities and things we wouldn't consider for even a second in our more sane moments. Before we know it, we are getting drained again - not just of the excess energy but as it starts draining out, it pulls out much of our vital energy as well. This is a big cause of shallow disturbed sleep and various metabolic disorders. Energy Drains in general need to be stopped. And one of the simplest ways to do it, is to use or start to use, your every day energy before evening sets in, to work on what are priorities to you. That way you'll reach evening or late evening with the morning's energy already converted into other forms, and your body will be free and calm to shift to its night-time pattern, when it absorbs more than expends energy. An example of how to do this is; Make a Priority list; What do I want to do with my energy every day? 1) Catch up on my work list. 2) Cook great food. 3) Take good care of my garden or plants or pets. 4) Make a loved one happy. 5) Tone up my body. (etc etc.) Now when you wake up in the morning, you know what you want to do, and you get right down to doing all these without further ado. Your vital energy will go these things and you won't be feeling drained because these activities contribute right back to your life. In Conclusion; Emotional Habits are the cause of many long term and chronic physical illnesses. You can break out of them by accepting your own life experience as a fact, becoming aware of how you felt, and how you are feeling, on a regular basis, and learning to use your vital energy for the priority activities in your life.
