The basic cause of coma, is an imbalance in the cells of the Reticular Formation - a place in the very middle of the Brain. The cells control the frequency of the nervous system; when the frequency rises, we awake and are alert, when the frequency falls we feel drowsy and go to sleep. In the case of coma patients, these cells are either damaged or severely imbalanced. They could heal and recover, causing the 'wake-up' of the nervous system, if they are supported in healing and balancing.
