Hi KC,
I have a 'Glass Voice' - it means when I speak my voice breaks or splinters, like I'm speaking through broken glass. I'm 29. Is this because of depression or trauma? I have tried various herbal remedies for throat and voice with no success. Is there energy medicine to heal the voice?

Dear Cristobel,

"Glass Voice Syndrome" often goes without being noticed, but it is a very common condition. The problem is low vitality in the cells of the vocal cords and the muscles and the nerves managing them. The cells are functioning so slowly, that the air passes through them slowly creating a splintered or broken voice or sound because each cell is giving off a different sound at a different time. It is like the sound of water moving through a series of differently shaped vessels instead of through one straight clear pipe.

This condition can be caused by repeat illnesses in the chest, throat, causing vital energy to be so drastically reduced that cells are not properly connected to each other.
