Cervical Cancer is, when not malignant, a collection of ill cells in the Cervix (the connecting area between the uterus and vagina). These should - in the natural order of things - be passed out of the body. When the cancer is malignant, the ill cells are actually causing surrounding cells to fall ill too, and maybe even reproducing new infected cells. This can cause discomfort, spotting between periods, bleeding after sex etc.

Even though the cervix is part of the Reproductive System, it needs to also be seen as one of those all important areas that connect one part of the body to the other and is therefore under high stress most of the time.
